Holiday Card and Enclosure Prototypes
|
These prototypes are designed for the silk screen process, with 2 to 5 saturated flat colors and broad lines. I designed them as if I was planning to do it the old fashioned way, with rubylith and an exacto knife. These display samples are intentionally dithered for copyright protection - the originals are vector-based CorelDraw files and have 'perfect' edges suitable for the silk screen process. The fonts are all my own, and were designed in Fontographer. The font used here, yafi.ttf, is shown with others on this page. This set carries through a related concept - the calligraphic Hebrew words: "Mazal Tov - Siman Tov" - "Good Omen - Good Indication" - which are words to a song for joyous occasions, such as Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Betrothels, and Weddings. The sample on the right says "L'Shana Tova" - "A Good Year" - said at Rosh HaShana. General
